SUMMER CAMP COACH

Coach Evan

Hi, I’m Evan, and I’ve been playing basketball nearly my whole life. I played at Bellarmine College Preparatory, part of the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) which is widely regarded as one of the toughest and most talented high school leagues in Northern California.

While part of Bellarmine’s basketball program, I focused on developing my shooting and becoming a consistent perimeter threat. I spent countless hours working on my form, footwork, and release and learning how to create space, read defenses, and knock down shots under pressure. I was part of the undefeated WCAL basketball championship team in 2020 which went undefeated in 20 games. Outside of school, I played AAU basketball year-round, gaining high-level reps and competing against elite talent across California.

In addition to basketball, I also played varsity football at Bellarmine, where I helped lead our team to an undefeated WCAL champion season in 2019 as well as a CCS Championship and NorCal title in 2022. Through football, I learned the value of discipline, preparation, and mental toughness, along with the power of being part of a team that demands your very best every day. The weight training, film study, and high-stakes competition built a work ethic and focus that I bring into every practice and coaching session. These experiences taught me how to handle pressure, lead by example, and stay locked in when it matters most.

As a coach, I bring all of my experience in my time in one of the most competitive high school leagues in California, my years of experience as a shooter, and the grit I developed on the football field. I focus on helping players master fundamentals, develop their basketball IQ, and build lasting confidence—especially for those looking to improve their shooting, footwork, and overall game awareness. Over the past 5–6 years, I’ve also been involved in coaching and running youth basketball camps, including a 7 week Summer Camp at Pro Court and Fitness in 2021, where I worked hands-on with young athletes to build their skills and love for the game and other camps at local youth basketball facilities. My mission is to help athletes grow not just as players, but as people, through hard work, accountability, and a deep love for the game.
